The Pocono Township Police Department is alerting the community to the recent installation of stop signs at the Cranberry Road and The Woodlands intersection. In response to resident concerns about speeding and safety on Cranberry Road, the Board of Commissioners commissioned a traffic safety study by the Township Engineer. Due to the road's terrain and curves, speed humps were deemed unsuitable. The study concluded that implementing a stop-controlled intersection at Cranberry Road and The Woodlands would be the most effective way to slow traffic and enhance safety. Motorists are urged to exercise caution and be mindful of these new signs.
