On December 2, 2022, at approximately 1134pm a Pocono Township Police Officer observed a gray Nissan passing vehicles in the center lane in Swiftwater.  The Officer turned his patrol unit around and then observed the Nissan passing multiple vehicles in the center turn only lane at a high rate of speed in Scotrun.  Police were able to catch up and initiated a traffic stop on the 80 east on ramp and identified the operator as Robert B. Parsons.  Parsons was found to be driving on a DUI suspended driver’s license and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.  Charges pending.
