On March 9th, 2023, an officer with the Pocono Township Police Department was on routine patrol when a black Chevy Trax was observed committing several moving violations. The officer made a traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted the driver, identified as Gasmend Nelai, a 61-year-old male from Pocono Summit. Through the investigation it was suspected that Nelai was under the influence of alcohol, and he was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Upon receiving the results of Nelai's blood test, it was confirmed that Nelai was under the influence and charges were filed.
