On January 10, 2025, the Pocono Township Police Department received a tip through Crimewatch that a 22 year old male was contacting and sending nude pictures to a 14 year old girl through the Discord social media platform.  The investigator was able to contact the juvenile and collect the communication and photos sent by the male.  Upon viewing the photos and the social media account, the male was identified as Christopher Minnick, the defendant in this matter, who used the account names Blackknight66 and Arcadiaduels.

On January 17, 2025, officers executed a search warrant at Minnick's residence and collected his electronic devices for forensic analysis.  Upon reviewing Minnick's electronic devices, it was found that he was communicating and exchanging explicit photos and videos with numerous juvenile females through Discord, Tiktok and Snapchat.  

On May 8, 2025, Minnick was arrested at his residence and taken before Magisterial District Judge Daniel Kresge where bail was set at $40,000 secured.  Minnick was then placed in Monroe County Correctional Facility where he is awaiting his preliminary hearing.

Minnick was charged with 12 counts of felony 3 sexual abuse of children - possessing child pornography, 4 counts of felony 3 unlawful contact with a minor, 2 counts of felony 3 criminal use of a communication facility, 2 counts of felony 3 corruption of minors, 2 counts of felony 3 disseminating explicit material to a minor, and 2 counts of misdemeanor 1 indecent exposure.

At this time only two juvenile victims have been identified, but the investigation is ongoing.
