On February 10, 2023, at approximately 1849 hours, Officers from the Pocono Township Police Department were dispatched to the area of SR 0611 in Swiftwater for a report of a hit and run motor vehicle accident. Officers located  and stopped the suspect vehicle at the intersection of SR 0611 & SR 0715.  Through the investigation the operator John C. Lutz was found to have been driving under the influence of alcohol.  Lutz was subsequently placed under arrest and taken for processing.  Charges pending. No one was injured in the accident.
