On July 16, 2022 at approximately 1646 hours Pocono Township Police initiated a traffic stop on a tan 1987 Mercedes in the area of Fairview Ave and SR314 in Pocono Manor.  The driver Thomas Lauer was found to have a DUI suspended license and active arrest warrant for drugs out of Monroe County. The passenger Teri L Baxter was also confirmed to have a warrant for drugs out of Monroe County.  The occupants denied consent to search the vehicle, which was then taken to Police Headquarters for a search warrant.  Stroud Regional Police K9 Bendix conducted an exterior check of the vehicle, which was a positive indication.   After the search warrant was granted a search of the vehicle yielded white wax folds with suspected heroin inside.  Charges pending on Lauer and Baxter
