On November 5, 2022 at approximately 0336 hours, the Pocono Township Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a 2021 Chevrolet Blazer on SR0715 near Sullivan Trail. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed, leading to a pursuit onto Interstate 80 East. The vehicle was successfully spiked by assisting departments Stroud Area Regional Police Department and the Pennsylvania State Police Stroudsburg barracks. The occupants of the vehicle fled on foot near exit 308 off of Interstate 80. After a brief foot pursuit, all three occupants were taken into custody. Several catalytic converters and tools associated with cutting the catalytic converters off of vehicles were observed inside of the suspect's vehicle. The vehicle was towed and the suspects were placed into the Monroe County Correctional Facility. This is an ongoing investigation.
