On October 2nd, 2022 at approximately 0650AM the Pocono Township Police Department was dispatched to a report of a White Van with individuals stealing cooking oil from the rear of a business at Star Village Plaza in Scotrun. The individuals left the scene prior to officer's arrival. Officers were advised that the vehicle left on I80 East and were provided with a picture of the vehicle that showed a White U- haul van with out of state registration. While attempting to locate the vehicle, officers observed it travelling south on SR0611 near Best Auto. Officer's conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and found that it was stolen. The driver, Jaquan Hatcher was arrested for receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking and possessing instruments of a crime. Jaquan was transported to Monroe County Correctional Facility.
