On October 19, 2022 at approximately 0759 hours, the Pocono Township Police Department was dispatched to a report of a hit and run accident in the area of SR0715 South and the Interstate 80 East On-Ramp in Tannersville. Upon further investigation it was discovered that a gray Honda Civic ran into the back of the victim's vehicle on SR0715 and fled traveling South on SR0715.

The vehicle and it's operator were located later in the day and the operator was identified as Jason Castro of Stroudsburg, PA. Castro is charged with Accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle (M3) along with three other summary offenses.
