On February 21, 2023, an officer from Pocono Township Police Deptartment was on routine patrol in the area of SR0611 in Swiftwater, Pocono Township. While patrolling the officer observed a white BMW X3 sedan committ several traffic and equipment violations.

At approximately 2142 hours, the officer stopped the vehicle on SR0611 north of Woodland Road. Contact was made with the driver, Raymond J Brown III, the defendant in this matter, who was under 21 years of age. While speaking with Brown, the officer detected and odor of mariuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle and observed Brown to display signs of alcohol intoxication.

After further investigation, it was determined that Brown was in possession of marijuana and was driving under the influence alchol. Subsequently, Brown was arrested for driving under the influence and related charges. He was transported to the Monroe County DUI Center where he was processed and released.

Charges are pending the blood results.
