On November 12, 2023, at 1250 hours, Officers of the Pocono Township Police Department were dispatched to the Brookdale Recovery Center for a report of a male using drugs prior to entry. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Brookdale Recovery Center staff who advised that the male was using drugs in the front part of their property and became irate when told that he could not be admitted. Contact was made with the defendant, Jake Brittain a 31-year-old male from Southampton, PA. Brittain was intoxicated and in possession of narcotics and related drug paraphernalia. Brittain was arrested and taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility.
