On August 23rd, 2025, an officer with the Pocono Township Police Department was on routine patrol on Route 611 in Scotrun. The officer received an alert from the patrol vehicle's license plate reader system of an expired Pennsylvania registration. After confirming that the displayed registration had been expired since 2006, the officer initiated traffic stop on the vehicle and spoke with the driver and passenger. On further investigation, the officer learned that the displayed registration belonged to a Lincoln, but was being displayed on a Nissan Altima. 

Further investigation revealed that the driver, Jennie Bolles, was in possession of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia and was driving on a suspended license.

Charges have been filed on Bolles in relation to this incident.
