On January 12th, 2023, officers with the Pocono Township Police Department were dispatched to the Tannersville Plaza for a one vehicle reportable accident involving a structure. On scene, officers observed a silver Toyota Rav4 had crashed into a cement pillar in front of one of the businesses.
Officers identified the driver, as Jason J Christie. Upon further investigation it was discovered that Christie was believed to be under the influence of alcohol, and he was placed under arrest for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
Charges were filed.
